Technical, detailed and workshop design

  • Steel structures

Steel structures are the most important area of our work. We design industrial, warehouse, and commercial halls, canopies, roofing, technological pipe racks, and load-bearing structures for equipment and installations. For technical, detailed, and workshop documentation we use specialist software. For every steel structure we build a complete three-dimensional model containing full information about all members and connections. This enables fast, error-free generation of shop drawings even for the most demanding structural members, and lets us export input straight to CNC machines. We always choose solutions that are optimal in terms of steel usage while meeting ultimate and serviceability limit-state requirements.

  • Reinforced-concrete structures

We design buildings and structures in reinforced concrete, delivering every type of structural system — from skeletal frames, through moment frames, to shear-wall (diaphragm) structures. Each structural design is developed comprehensively, including analysis and selection of the foundation method. In difficult ground conditions we apply modern foundation techniques — various types of piling and other methods of ground reinforcement. For analysis we use advanced software based on the finite element method (FEM), which lets us model the building as a whole, accounting for all significant structural elements.

  • Timber structures

We design timber structures of every kind — from the simplest to the most complex. At the core of our work are roof frames and rafter systems of all types, designed for a wide range of residential buildings. Increasingly, we also deliver designs for timber-frame and log houses. A distinct area of our practice is trussed roof construction — trusses joined with nail (gang-nail) plates, an economical way to span large distances.

  • Non-standard structures

Over the years we have developed many non-standard structures — difficult projects that demand an individual, unconventional approach to the calculations. Work like this is always a challenge, and seeing it through to a successful result is what gives us the greatest satisfaction.

  • Structural optimization

We review and optimise existing building and construction designs with regard to material consumption and construction costs. By recalculating the structure against current standards we can identify load-bearing reserves or propose cross-section reductions, resulting in direct savings during the construction phase.

  • Survey

We prepare as-built surveys of existing buildings and structures — for record purposes, as well as in connection with extensions, changes of use, or administrative proceedings. Surveys are carried out using modern surveying instruments and delivered in both drawn and descriptive form.

  • Technical assessment

We prepare technical assessments and expert opinions on the condition of engineering structures — in cases of detected damage, changes in loading conditions, or requirements from insurers or building control authorities. The report includes a diagnosis of any irregularities, a load-bearing capacity assessment, and recommendations for repair or strengthening.
